Moon Machines

Hi, today I was in classroom and we watched a video called "Navigation Computer" but what exactly is this? Have you ever wondered how did we really travel to the moon? How was it done? or Why was it never done before the 70's? Well these are questions that the documentary Moon Machines: The Navigation Computer are questions that the documentary talks about, which I encourage you to watch since I learnt some useful things about it.

First of all, the story begins with the computers, as you might all know, the computers were not really know until the Apple II was released, they were not commercial, and not many companies or industries had them on their stocks, this is because they were expensive, and they required many people to operate them, however the ones that acquired them such as the NASA had other plans for them, this is, travel to the moon.

The computers, as they were before they had at much 64KB memory, right now an image is even more heavy than that, anything is actually bigger than that, however people in that time came with many ideas to make this possible, as you might expected, many issues occurred in this crossing, it wasn't an easy trip after all, it required many preparations and also no mistakes.

As i stated before, computers had a great role in this, the reason of why did we not travel before to the moon was because of this, we did not have an actual way to do it, this changed when computers made their appearance and changed every process they knew back in the time, making any job to be completed in less time, and to do any calculation faster than any human could and much more accurate too.
